To which countries do we ship?

We deliver to countries within and outside the EU. Below you will find a shortlist of countries along with their shipping costs and delivery times. If your country is not listed, please contact us for current costs, delivery times, and options. Our balcony furniture is quite heavy and is packaged very well to prevent damage. Our shipping partners may charge additional fees for remote areas. Remote areas are defined by postcode. So, you may live in a remote area. These postcodes and additional costs per package are specified for your country. A quick note: When you are about to receive a package via a courier, you will receive a notification from the courier shortly before the delivery time slot. This notification will include a link to various options to modify your delivery. Consider options like granting permission to leave the package or having it delivered to your neighbors. If you choose to grant permission to leave, you authorize the courier’s driver to place that specific package in a safe location at your home or deliver it to your neighbors. In doing so, you, as the consumer, grant permission to the courier. At that point, Het Balkonbankje is no longer responsible for any damages whatsoever. All resulting costs, such as extra shipping costs, return costs, damages, and compensation to Het Balkonbankje for an incomplete and therefore unsellable product, will be borne by you as the responsible consumer.

Shipping Costs and Estimated Delivery Times within the Netherlands

We charge shipping costs because we make every effort to package, ship, and deliver our heavy products as well and safely as possible to you. Additionally, each product is checked in advance. Large and heavy products such as balcony benches, storage boxes, and balcony chairs are shipped in multiple packages. In the Randstad area, we often personally deliver the larger and heavier packages. During this delivery, we provide advice and place the items where you want, with or without a lift and on any possible floor. You can also choose to arrange a free pickup appointment with us in Woerden.

Delivery Times in the Netherlands:

  • In-stock items: Delivery within 3 to 5 working days
  • Custom cushions: Delivery within 6 to 10 working days

Shipping Costs in the Netherlands:

The shipping costs are determined based on your order. We calculate the shipping costs based on the highest shipping class in your shopping cart. So, if you add something to your shopping cart, no additional shipping costs will be calculated.

  • Shipping costs for a balcony bench or balcony box: € 39.95
  • Shipping costs for a balcony chair: € 26.95
  • Shipping costs for a balcony lounge bench, lounge set, balcony set, or balcony daybed: € 47.95
  • Shipping costs for parcels/small boxes such as cushions, plant wall racks, and lamps: € 8.95
  • Free pickup in Woerden is possible by appointment. If you choose this shipping option during checkout, we will contact you after the order to arrange a pickup appointment.

Shipping within the Netherlands

  • Outside the Randstad area, shipping is outsourced to an external carrier.
  • Within the Randstad area we often make our own deliveries.
  • Depending on the order size or box size, the order will be delivered by a parcel service or by a carrier per pallet
  • Balcony benches, balcony chairs, balcony storage boxes, balcony lounge benches and balcony lounge sets are shipped per pallet or in several sturdy and well-packaged cardboard boxes
  • Parcels / small boxes are shipped in a sturdy and well-packaged cardboard box

Shipping Method Outside the Netherlands

  • Depending on the order size or box dimensions, the order will be delivered by a parcel service or a carrier on a pallet.
  • Parcels/small boxes will be shipped in a sturdy and well-packaged cardboard box.

Points of attention during delivery

We take the greatest possible care when sending and delivering our products to the given delivery address.
  • To ensure the best possible delivery, we recommend that you provide a mobile phone number where the person who will receive the order can be reached on the day of delivery. This way we or the driver can let you know exactly what time we will arrive and you can prepare for the delivery. Often there will be a phone call +/- 30 minutes before delivery.
  • Always make sure that someone is present at the agreed time to take the order.
  • Indicate well in advance if there are any situations that could make the delivery more difficult, making the accessibility of the delivery address less good or impossible.
  • As soon as your order has been registered with the external carrier or parcel service, you will receive one or more track and trace numbers via e-mail
  • If the order is delivered on one or more pallets, these pallets will always be returned with you
  • The external carrier or parcel service delivers to the door or hallway on the first floor. Unless otherwise agreed, you must therefore take the order yourself and place it in the appropriate place
  • If the delivery is outsourced to an external carrier you will receive a receipt or order letter from the driver
  • If the package may be delivered to the neighbors, please report this in advance
  • Always check the offered order for damage. If these are made to the packaging and therefore possibly the content, you should take pictures and ask for a signature from the driver. This is very important in a possible warranty process
  • Good to know. If you are going to receive a package via a parcel delivery service, you will receive a message from the parcel delivery service shortly beforehand about the time period in which your package will be delivered. In this message you will find a link to several options to change your delivery. Think of a drop off permission or drop off at the neighbors. If you choose for drop off permission then you give the driver of the parcel delivery service permission to drop off or give in to the neighbors only that specific parcel at a safe place in your house. For this you, the consumer, give permission to the parcel deliverer. At that moment The Balcony Bench is no longer responsible for any damage whatsoever. All costs resulting from this, such as extra shipping costs, return costs, damage and compensation to The Balcony Bank for an incomplete and therefore unsalable product, will be borne by you as a responsible consumer.
