DuroGrit is the best wood oil for outdoor use. Perfect teak oil for Teak outdoor furniture
DuroGrit is the best wood oil for outdoor use, a durable, fiber-enriched and water-soluble wood oil that colors and protects all outdoor wood in one layer. Thanks to the patented FibreGrit Technology, where wood fibers give the wood oil its unique structure, DuroGrit combines a saturating and breathable monocoat system. This provides incredible and long-lasting UV protection and makes the wood oil extremely durable and wear-resistant. Especially for teak balcony furniture and garden furniture, DuroGrit is also the best teak oil for outdoor use, keeping teak outdoor furniture optimally protected against weather influences.

What’s the difference between DuroGrit and Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector
Both oil systems are very suitable for our teak balcony furniture and other teak garden furniture. The main difference is in the color options. Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector has 20 colors suitable for teak wood; 12 traditional colors and 8 trendy pop colors. DuroGrit has 7 natural colors suitable for teak wood.
Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector is applied and then the residue is wiped off. This is not the case with DuroGrit. DuroGrit is more robust, offers a rough texture for grip and is – in addition to applying on outdoor furniture – ideal for terraces and intensively used surfaces. Hybrid Wood Protector is an oil finish that nourishes and colors the wood without forming a layer on the surface. The open pore structure allows the wood to breathe and will swell and shrink less. DuroGrit will not crack, peel or flake.
DuroGrit teak oil colors for teak outdoor furniture

For the best result, it is recommended to stay as close as possible to the natural look. Going lighter than the natural color of the wood can reduce the durability of the protection.
- Grassland Beige is the natural look for pine, douglas fir, larch and teak.
- Rocky Umber is the natural look for thermo pine & cumaru.
- Foxy Brown is the natural look for iroko & ipé.

More Information & Important Tips
- For optimal color choice, select a DuroGrit color that is as close as possible to the natural wet look of the wood. Lighter colors may shorten the lifespan of the protection, while darker colors are more durable.
- Color Contrasts & Scratches: If you want a color that strongly deviates from the natural wet look (much darker or lighter), keep in mind that scratches may be more visible, especially on decks.
- Thermally Modified Wood: This type of wood is very sensitive to color change due to UV light. Only use dark colors such as “Rocky Umber” or “Bison Brown”. Note: “Bison Brown” is not suitable for light wood species.
- Mixing Colors: We advise against mixing DuroGrit colors. These combinations have not been tested in our laboratory and may provide less durable protection and fade faster.
- By following these guidelines, you ensure the best and most durable protection for your outdoor wood!
