A 85 cm wide balcony daybed is a comfortable and stylish way to furnish your balcony, providing ample seating for sitting, lounging, and maximum relaxation. Made from durable plantation teak wood, this balcony daybed is built to last with its sturdy construction. Our modular 100 cm wide balcony daybed with storage is perfect for small and narrow balconies. The daybed consists of a 85 x 85 x 90 cm balcony lounge bench and a 85 x 60 x 40 cm storage chest. These two balcony furniture pieces can be arranged in multiple ways.

How Can You Configure the Balcony Daybed?

The balcony daybed is modular because the storage chest can be placed in front of, next to, or against the balcony lounge bench. Due to its weight, the chest stays in place without shifting. Push the storage chest against the lounge bench and use it as a footrest for extended lounging—perfect for relaxing alone or together on a cozy balcony evening. Alternatively, rotate the storage chest to create an L-shaped balcony lounge bench.

Move the storage chest away from the lounge bench to use it as an additional seating bench for guests.

What Type of Hardwood is the Balcony Daybed Made From?

The teak wood used in the production of our balcony furniture comes from legal teak plantations and is sourced from a producer with a valid FLEGT license. FLEGT stands for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance, and Trade. The EU’s FLEGT action plan, introduced in 2003, aims to reduce illegal logging by strengthening sustainable and legal forest management, improving governance, and promoting trade in legally harvested timber. How to Maintain Teak Wood

To maximize durability and retain the rich teak color, maintenance is recommended. If left untreated, teak will naturally turn gray within 10-12 months due to UV exposure. We offer Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector in 20 colors and Teak Wonder Dressing & Sealer for a light color enhancement.

A common concern is that mold may form under an outdoor furniture cover or that stains might appear on the wood. While this is a valid concern, it is an oversimplification. The truth is that some extra attention is required—both in selecting the right cover and in ensuring proper placement and early-stage monitoring.

9 ways to Prevent Mold Formation Under an Outdoor Furniture Cover

Ensure there is enough space between the balcony furniture and the cover to allow airflow.
Choose a cover with a sloping side or a peak so that water does not pool on top.
Make sure the cover fits snugly over the furniture. If it is too loose, moisture can become trapped underneath, leading to mold growth.
Clean the cover regularly. Leaves, dirt, and debris left under the cover can create conditions for mold.
Ensure the furniture is dry before placing the cover over it. Covering damp furniture can cause mold formation.
Use a furniture cover with ventilation openings to help reduce moisture and condensation.
Select a cover made from water-repellent material to prevent moisture from accumulating underneath.
Regularly hang or roll up the cover to allow air circulation and drying.
In the initial period, check occasionally for stains or mold formation.

Over time, you will get a better idea of whether the cover is performing effectively.

The balcony lounge bench consists of 7 separate parts and is secured on each side with 6 stainless steel hex bolts (included). The storage chest consists of 6 separate parts and is secured on each side with 4 stainless steel hex bolts (included). Allen keys are provided.

Our durable balcony furniture is made of plantation teak from Indonesia. The balcony furniture is produced under a FLEGT licence.

The abbreviation FLEGT stands for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade. The European Union concludes Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs) with countries including Indonesia. Under the FLEGT licensing scheme, specified timber products (including teak balcony furniture) exported from a partner country such as Indonesia and entering the European Community at a customs post designated for release for free circulation must be covered by a FLEGT licence issued by the partner country.

That’s why all of our products are professionally and securely packaged, so your order arrives safely and undamaged at the place where it will stand for years — or eventually find a new home.

Because of their weight and size, larger items such as the balcony bench and balcony lounge set are shipped in multiple parcels. For even heavier and larger balcony furniture such as the balcony lounge bench and the balcony daybed, we use pallet transport for maximum protection during transit. Unfortunately, these cannot be shipped via standard parcel services.
