This long wooden rocking chair looks fantastic and offers a high feeling of comfort and relaxation. The rocking chair stands out with its flowing curves, is wonderfully ergonomic and is ideal for dreaming away: whether it is indoors or outdoors. Meltemi means ‘Breeze’ in Turkish; a well chosen name.

Is a cushion supplied with the wooden rocking chair?
The wooden rocking chair comes with a Dralon mattress-style cushion. Dralon is the brand name for Acrylic and is the most color and wear resistant. The high comfort is largely due to the supplied mattress cushion, which is very soft. The cushion is made of Dralon acrylic (190 g / m2); a pleasant to the touch, durable fabric ideal for outdoor use. Acrylic pillows and mattresses are basically intended for use in countries with a Mediterranean or hot climate; ideal.
Due to the high water-repellent nature of the acrylic fabric and the TEFLON® finish, the lounge cushion is very water-repellent. Nevertheless, we recommend protecting the cushion from heavy rain to extend their durability. So take the pillow inside in heavy rain.
The acrylic has a high UV resistance. Even after years of use, the cushion can retain its original color. Additionally, acrylic stays cool in the heat and warm in cooler temperatures.
Dry-spun DRALON® fibers inhibit the formation of mold and are resistant to bacteria. The cushion cover can be washed in the washing machine. However, repeated washing of acrylic will reduce its water resistance.
What wood is the rocking chair made of?
The rocking chair is made of spruce wood and carries the FSC quality mark. The color and natural properties are excellent and as it resists rotting there is no need to apply additional wood preservatives or any further treatment.
The wood is impregnated under high pressure using the most advanced formulation of permanent wood preservative that protects the rocking chair against rot, weather and insect damage for years to come.
Packaging and delivery
The Meltemi wooden rocking chair comes in a thick cardboard box and is easy to assemble. Delivery time is around 2, 3 weeks.
Is it easy to assemble?
The wooden rocking chair is easy to assemble. And with the help of a manual even more. The language is English. Assembly takes more than 1 hour. We recommend doing this preferably with two people. Make sure you have / create enough space to assemble in peace.

The wooden rocking chair has a 10-year warranty because it can withstand all weather conditions for years.

Shipping Method Outside the Netherlands
- Depending on the order size or box dimensions, the order will be delivered by a parcel service or a carrier on a pallet.
- Parcels/small boxes will be shipped in a sturdy and well-packaged cardboard box.
Points of attention during delivery
We take the greatest possible care when sending and delivering our products to the given delivery address.- To ensure the best possible delivery, we recommend that you provide a mobile phone number where the person who will receive the order can be reached on the day of delivery. This way we or the driver can let you know exactly what time we will arrive and you can prepare for the delivery. Often there will be a phone call +/- 30 minutes before delivery.
- Always make sure that someone is present at the agreed time to take the order.
- Indicate well in advance if there are any situations that could make the delivery more difficult, making the accessibility of the delivery address less good or impossible.
- As soon as your order has been registered with the external carrier or parcel service, you will receive one or more track and trace numbers via e-mail
- If the order is delivered on one or more pallets, these pallets will always be returned with you
- The external carrier or parcel service delivers to the door or hallway on the first floor. Unless otherwise agreed, you must therefore take the order yourself and place it in the appropriate place
- If the delivery is outsourced to an external carrier you will receive a receipt or order letter from the driver
- If the package may be delivered to the neighbors, please report this in advance
- Always check the offered order for damage. If these are made to the packaging and therefore possibly the content, you should take pictures and ask for a signature from the driver. This is very important in a possible warranty process
- Good to know. If you are going to receive a package via a parcel delivery service, you will receive a message from the parcel delivery service shortly beforehand about the time period in which your package will be delivered. In this message you will find a link to several options to change your delivery. Think of a drop off permission or drop off at the neighbors. If you choose for drop off permission then you give the driver of the parcel delivery service permission to drop off or give in to the neighbors only that specific parcel at a safe place in your house. For this you, the consumer, give permission to the parcel deliverer. At that moment The Balcony Bench is no longer responsible for any damage whatsoever. All costs resulting from this, such as extra shipping costs, return costs, damage and compensation to The Balcony Bank for an incomplete and therefore unsalable product, will be borne by you as a responsible consumer.

Large and heavy products such as balcony benches, storage boxes, and balcony chairs are shipped in multiple packages. In the Randstad area, we often personally deliver the larger and heavier packages. During this delivery, we provide advice and place the items where you want, with or without a lift and on any possible floor. You can also choose to arrange a free pickup appointment with us in Woerden.
