FLEGT stands for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade. The EU FLEGT action plan was established in 2003. On the website of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/environment\/forests\/flegt.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety<\/a><\/strong> you&#8217;ll find more information on the approaches that countries are taking, as well as on initiatives that transcend national borders.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How do I maintain the teak balcony bench?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Teak wood is extremely weather resistant by nature and will turn a platinum grey in approximately 8 to 12 months due to the effects of weather. We always recommend treating our teak furniture with a high-quality teak sealer or stain before assembling the bench. Thus, we guarantee the best protection from the elements such as sun and rain. It is best to use a transparent matte cover to best retain the colour. Always apply it to the underside as a test before treating the whole product. This prevents a possible unwanted colour effect.
